In SECRET MACHINE, a protagonist encounters an antagonist which is studying her, measuring her body and comparing her to units of space and time. For the scientist, measurement is understanding. While human nature appears confined within the framework and efforts of rationality, the aspiration of trapping the soul conduces the antagonist to imagine the improvable.
Born 1966 in Alaska; initially studied physics at the University of Colorado, changing his focus to studio art, completed an M.F.A. in New York at the School of Visual Arts
